My journey with Go has developed from a personal passion from when I was nine into a long-term commitment to building a stronger Go community. Beginning as a student player, I gradually moved beyond competition to focus on leadership, education, and expanding access to the game. As I spent more time playing, I became interested in creating the same opportunities for others to experience the challenge and enjoyment that first drew me to Go. This led me to take on leadership roles, from founding the SHSID Go Club to helping build the Shanghai Go League into a stronger community for students across the city. Through these experiences, I have seen how Go can connect people from different backgrounds and create a shared sense of purpose. Beyond improving as a player, I have learned how to support younger students, organize communities, and contribute to the growth of the game. Go has become a way for me to bring people together while continuing to challenge myself both on and off the board.
